A Day of Reflection (The Results).

Well it was very interesting going for a day without looking into the mirror. It's one of those things that you aren't aware of how many there are until you decide to make a conscious choice not to look into them. There were at least 7 mirrors i was running into on a regular basis at my house. There was also a bunch at the restaurants, gas stations and stores that me and Gavin walked into as we explored the east coast by the beach. The thing i noticed that was very interesting is that the majority of the time, whenever people encountered a mirror, they took at least 2 seconds to stop and double check themselves. Whether it was fixing there hair, checking there makeup, fixing there outfit ext. People on average take any opportunity they can to look at themselves and check how they're doing to see if they meet the expectations they have for themselves. I was talking to my dad about this today and he said something very profound. He said that we are designed to reflect and check ourselves, but we've become far more aware of the physical aspect of life and not checking our reflection spiritually. And our spiritual mirror is the Bible. It was very interesting but very true. Now that my little experiment is done i still find myself purposely not looking into every mirror i cross, and i should be looking into my spiritual mirror far more than physical ones. To wrap it up people, don't size yourself up to a stereotype that media and the general population as set up, or you'll find yourself screwed up. Just sayin. :P Until next time.

Quote of the day: "I'm bigger than my body gives me credit for" John Mayer.
Scripture of the day: James 3:2 (Look it up! Do it! You won't! :P)

Yes I'm aware that I'm a dork. Thanks for noticing. :P
